
Recertification Specialist
Winterwood, Inc. is hiring for the role of Recertification Specialist. The Recertification Specialist will be responsible for completing all annual recertifications, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to public housing, tax credit, and equal opportunity housing guidelines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to performing all duties with professionalism and accuracy. A strong understanding of recertification processes, program compliance, and resident relations is essential for success in this position.
Position Details:
- Property: Park DuValle - 1804 Russell Lee Drive, Louisville, KY 40211
- Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of LIHTC and/or public housing experience.
- Proficient computer skills required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effectively communicates with staff, residents, vendors and other individuals.
- Excellent customer service skills and able to work well in a team environment.
- A stable work history demonstrating reliability.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for training.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
- Ability to travel to Lexington, KY for training.
Job Responsibilities:
- Scheduling annual recertification appointments with clients.
- Client processing interviews.
- Verifying income, assets, student status & household composition (along with other various documentation) to determine household eligibility.
- Lease signings upon completion of verifications.
- Submitting files to the corporate compliance department for approval.
- Ensuring that concessions due to clients do not exceed the budgeted amount.
- Home visits for clients that are homebound.
- Completing landlord, food stamp and Section Eight documentation, as needed.
- Inputting Section Eight voucher changes.
- Performing Interim processing, as necessary.
- Housing Review assistance (pulling reports & files, meeting with auditors, etc.)
- Answering, returning and making phone calls within 24 business hours (includes checking voicemails).
- Other job duties as needed.
