HVAC Apprentice

Winterwood, Inc. is hiring for the role of HVAC Apprentice. In this hands-on, entry-level position, you will assist licensed HVAC Technicians with the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems on construction projects. This role is designed to provide valuable on-the-job training and real-world industry experience.

Job Type:  Full Time (40 hours per week) 

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday

 Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
  • $100/month cell phone reimbursement

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and proper handling/storage of materials and supplies
  • Effective communication and reporting skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs, climb stairs, crouch or crawl
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel within the state as needed 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Support the diagnosis and troubleshooting of HVAC system malfunctions to identify necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Aid in the installation of new HVAC units and components.
  • Help track and order supplies to maintain inventory and ensure job site readiness.
  • Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites as needed.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, vacuum pumps, test instruments, and vehicles in a safe and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, labor, materials, and tasks performed; complete job reports as required.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors or technicians.
